Gifts For Cousins

Glen's Sister finally had Baby Davis last week
I made her something to put him in once he gets home
Its had to believe that Kylie is already 3.
I embroidered a shirt for her to go with an outfit.
I hope she gets some wear out of it.

Beach Inspired Wreath

Glen's Aunt Marilyn ordered this one.
Love how it turned out.
There are Sea Urchins, Star Fish, Sand Dollars on it.
The Sea Urchins were very fragile,
so I put an expanding "window sealing" foam to help stabilize it

Coffee Filter Wreaths

I've made several coffee filter wreaths over the last few months.
They come out really pretty, and I just enjoy making them
Here are the pics of what I've done so far...
cuz y'all know how I am, I will make more

Santa's Belt:
I dyed the coffee filters with a red liquid fabric dye, used ribbon and glittered scrapbook paper for the buckle
(I ended up donating this one to the elementary school for a raffle)

Leprechaun:
I pretty much did the same as on the Santa's Belt one, just added a cute little hat I fastened out of black craft foam.  I actually used glitter foam for the belt buckle instead of the scrapbook paper I used on the first.

Tan/Natural Dye:
I bought the coffee filters with this color already and attached them to the wreath.  I might add something to it but for now this is how it looks.

Baseball:
These coffee filters, I just left plain and attached them to the wreath, and added some rickrack for the laces

Glen's Barn Doors

If you know me and Glen personally,
You know that we have been kinda busy building our empire
The last year we have build 2 custom homes.
We like to put something unexpected and personal to the new home owner.
In this last house, we built BARN DOORS!!!!
The photos are kinda bad, I took them with my phone
(I've been hinting for a new one!)
I absolutely loved this project from the start to finish!
We got so excited the night they were hung, that we went ahead and stained one of them!
And here they are in all their glory!
I can't wait to build some for our future house!
One day......

If you want to see pictures of our houses:

Wreaths, Wreaths, Wreaths!!!

I've been busy making wreaths this spring.

I tried my skills out making bubble wreaths:
The first is one for me,
(I think it will be better suited for the fall)
And the P wreath is for a friend that just moved into her new home
I love the moss on the letter!

 And Deco Mesh Wreaths:
I've made quite a few of the Baseball Wreaths,
I've gotten quite good at these,
the picture here is of the first ones I've made so I've made a few adjustments,
and I think they are starting to look like the ones people charge $95-$120

Circle Monogram Sweatshirts

I made these for Christmas gifts for my in laws this last year
I think they look spiffy, don't you?
and of course I made a matching outfit for my niece, Kylie

Painted Flat Marble Letters

So I finally hosted a Cocktails and Craft night at the house.
My friend Kim and I LOVE some of the Large Letters with Stones on them that we have been seeing on Pinterest and at Craft Shows,
so I did a little snooping around
(because there is no tutorial)
and figured out how we were going to make them
Here is what we came up with

Mason Jar Toothbrush Holder

My friend Lauren and I look for things to do during the week to keep us from going insane at the house
We went to the Goodwill's Re-habitat Store and found some really small cabinet doors
I knew just what I wanted to do with them
We painted, and attached clamps on to them so that they can hold mason jars
I am using mine to hold the kiddo's toothpaste and bushes
She is using hers as a chalkboard and place to empty pockets near her laundry machine.

Minky Blankets

So, I sent Riya her Minky Blanket,
and my cousin absolutely loved it,
and ordered a couple for her friends
Here they are:
This one is for a little boy named Phelps
 I LOVE the pattern!
This one is for a little girl name Elliot
Little girl fabric is so hard to decide on,
but this one is so fun!
I hope they like them,
They were so much fun to make!

Waiting on Baby Essie

Suzy baby is due any moment now!
I made her these cute outfits weeks ago in hopes of an early arrival
No such luck!
I had some "hand me down" grey onsies from P
I had left them plain for him,
but I added the cute designs for Miss Essie
The burp clothes were made from scraps that I had from making my Minky Blankets
I think they came out really cute!
Now we are just waiting around for her!
We are visiting tomorrow,
so hopefully Su will go into labor while we are down!
Made this set for an order,
I always love this set!

Wooden Name Blocks

Suzy, Glen's little sister is expecting her first little bundle
Su is into everything Shabby Chic
The baby's room colors are
grey, light pink, and light blue
I've been meaning to make wooden blocks for a while now,
 what better opportunity!
The baby's name is Essie Leigh,
after Jon's grandmother
I made sure the blocks would spell her name
I also made sure that the blocks would be able to count out the months
Here is Suzy's belly
And here is Suzy,
(with my kiddos)
I also made a fun outfit for Miss Essie,
and paired it with an over the top bow!
I made one for Jo too
Essie is going to be such a doll!
I can't wait to meet her!

Kylie's Birthday Outfit

Miss Kylie turned 1 last month
I make her a birthday outfit
Her theme for her party was a candy shop
So naturally her outfit had to be very colorful
I love how the bow turned out!
 Here she is!
She really did look cute!

New Cousin, New Minky Blanket

My cousin just had her first child.
Riya Penina
Beautiful name!
I love making my minky blankets,
so she getting one
Don't you just love the fabric?!
I'm tempted to go back for another yard of it!
